Army installs new Chief Dental Surgeon

FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Philippine Army installed the new chief of Office of the Army Chief Dental Surgeon (OACDS) in an online Change of Chief of Office and Retirement here today, April 14, 2020.

In the ceremony presided by Philippine Army Chief of Staff, Maj. Gen. Rowen S. Tolentino, the outgoing chief Col. Ronaldo A. Soriano turned over the office symbol to the incoming Col. Rosendo B. Pasicolan.

Col. Soriano, who has served the Army for 29 years before his retirement, prioritized the provision of soldier-centered dental treatment and implemented the Preventive Dentistry Program during his stint. The OACDS also conducted Dental Civic Action Program in several barangays and monitored the adherence and implementation of infection control measures in all Philippine Army Dental Treatment Facilities under his leadership.

On the other hand, Col. Pasicolan has been the Executive Officer and Deputy of the OACDS. He participated in several scientific conventions and graduated with Master in Public Management Major in Development and Security at the Development Academy of the Philippines. Col. Pasicolan also gained exemplary experience during his post in dental units of 6th Infantry Division, 3rd Infantry Division, 5th Infantry Division, Army Reserve Command, Army Support Command, and Headquarters and Headquarters of the Philippine Army.

“Remember that maintaining a healthy lifestyle is a duty to our people. We need to be always ready in sustaining the momentum in capacitating the Army towards greater mission effectiveness,” said the Philippine Army Chief of Staff, Maj. Gen. Rowen S. Tolentino. #
