Army gives hero’s burial to Ragos

FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila - The Philippine Army gave full military honors during the burial of Cpl. Winston A. Ragos today, April 26, 2020 at the Libingan ng mga Bayani, Ft Bonifacio, Taguig City.

Ragos, who was given a complete disability discharged (CDD) in 2017 from the military service after developing Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), died in a shooting incident last April 21 at Quezon, City involving a police officer. The incident is now under investigation.

“Today we bring Cpl Ragos to his final resting place. His death has raised awareness on the plight of our soldiers suffering from PTSD. The Philippine Army will revitalize programs on trauma, combat stress and PTSD to be able to sustain the wellness of our troops both active and retired.” said Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Gilbert I. Gapay.
