FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Philippine Army received 1,000 pieces of Escape Hood Masks and 1,000 pieces Face Shields from Stone of David (SOD) and Hafid N’ Erasmus Corporation (HNEC) as an expression of support to Army’s COVID-19 response here today, April 29, 2020.
Masks were handed by HNEC president Mr. Bryan Huertas Samante and SOD president Ms Jocelyn Magcale to Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Gilbert I. Gapay. The EHM, which is a combination of emergency smoke hood and chemical gas mask, will significantly provide respiratory protection to PA frontliners performing COVID-19 operations. During use, escape hoods will shield wearer’s eyes and nose from virus exposure as well as in preventing hand and face contact.
