FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Philippine Army Commanding General led this year's closing of the Brigade Commanders Forum here yesterday, July 22, 2020.
Lt. Gen. Gilbert I. Gapay commended the participating brigade, regiment, and task force commanders for their achievements in the first half of the year. He also lauded the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Education and Training, G8, for organizing and facilitating the ten-day forum with the theme “Leading the Effort to End Insurgency and Terrorism”.
“I am glad that despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, we were able to supplement our existing mechanisms such as enhancing Information Operations and local convergence initiatives,” said Gapay. “I am also confident that through this online learning exchange, we were able to capacitate our ground commanders with some concepts in defeating security threats that will drive us closer to operational excellence,” he added. #
