FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Philippine Army and the Bureau of Customs (BOC) signed via video teleconference the memorandum of understanding for good governance and institutional transformation here today, July 23, 2020.
Army Vice Commander Maj. Gen. Reynaldo M. Aquino and BOC Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero finalized their partnership in building a better and more credible customs administration using the Army Transformation Roadmap’s best practices. The Army will also stand alongside BOC as the latter bids for the four-stage Performance Governance System Pathway.
“Good governance, accountability, and professionalism; these are reputations that both the Philippine Army and the Bureau of Customs aspire to be as public servants,” said Aquino during his remarks. “As the Army sustains the momentum towards greater mission effectiveness, we also strengthen partnerships with our stakeholders such as the Bureau. I look forward to witnessing the relationship that has been established today bear fruits in the days to come,” Aquino added. #
