FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila — Just two days after their initial meeting, the officers of the Philippine Army Officers’ Ladies Club, Inc. (PAOLCI), led by its adviser Mrs. Virginia R Gapay, along with key members of the Philippine Army’s Comprehensive Mental Health Program Technical Working Group (TWG), led by the Assistant Chief of Staff for Personnel (G1), COL RAMON P FLORES GSC (INF) PA, and LTC ERWIN Y COMENDADOR GSC (INF) PA, again held a conference with different stakeholders, and subject matter experts, which included MGEN BEINVENIDO R DATUIN JR (RET), to further the reach of the Army’s thrust in promoting mental health awareness, and resiliency.
The PAOLCI, through its consultant, Mrs. Maris Datuin, introduced the President of the Philippine Nurses Association (PNA), Cavite Chapter, Mrs. Nenita B Panaligan RN, MAN to the TWG, who joined the conference via ZOOM, along with Ms. Carolina V Boquio RPsy, Chief Psychologist of the Philippine Military Academy Station Hospital, to give their insights on the different methods and mechanisms, and the crucial role of the family to address mental illness.
The PAOLCI, and the Philippine Army are working on collaborating with PNA, Cavite in order to capacitate Army personnel, and their families with timely, and proactive responses, in promoting social awareness to combat the stigma, as well as the prevention, and treatment of mental illnesses.

Thus, we humbly seek your expertise in strengthening the family support system, in institutionalizing training, and management, and other related programs, and in providing positive reinforcements to promote, protect, and detect, restore, and sustain the mental, and psychological readiness of our workforce,” said Mrs. Virginia R. Gapay to the different stakeholders.#
