FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Philippine Army Multi-Sector Advisory Board (PA MSAB) welcomes a department secretary and a former police general as its new members here today, September 14, 2020.
The Commanding General Philippine Army Lt. Gen. Cirilito E. Sobejana administered the oath-taking and presentation of the Army Transformation Roadmap pin to newly-inducted members Secretary Mark Villar of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Mayor Benjamin Magalong of Baguio City.
Secretary Villar’s insights in countryside development will be instrumental in allocating meager resources to better serve the Army’s constituents. On the other hand, Mayor Magalong will be part of the PA MSAB’s Research and Education Committee for his expertise as a former police officer and now chief executive of Baguio City.
“The Army is in gratitude to the good Secretary and Mayor for accepting such a call. Your commitment holds to a higher ground our transformation journey,” said Lt. Gen. Sobejana as he concluded the ceremony.
“Truly, the two gentlemen joining the Board inspire the Army to do better, which all the more brings us to our vision to be a world-class Army that is a source of national pride,” he added. #
