FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Commanding General Philippine Army (CGPA) joined the celebration of
6th Infantry Division - Kampilan
’s 33rd Founding Anniversary on October 24, 2020 at Camp Siongco, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao.Lt. Gen. Cirilito E. Sobejana commended the division for its COVID-19 efforts and their operational achievements in the previous year including the neutralization of 660 enemy personalities, recovery of 246 firearms and 116 anti-personnel mines, and the settlement of 44 clan war cases. The CGPA also graced the division’s Demilitarization Ceremony where 242 captured, confiscated, surrendered, and recovered firearms during focused military operations were destroyed.
On October 25, Lt. Gen. Sobejana led the Ground Breaking Ceremony of the road from Brgy. Delucot, Godod, Zamboanga Del Norte to Kabalasan, Zamboanga Sibugay via Brgy. Diampak. Said project is the Army’s contribution to the national government’s vision to attain agro-industrial stability in rural and far-flung areas.
“Sa ating Kampilan Troopers, umaasa akong mas pagbubutihin pa ninyo ang pagganap sa inyong tungkulin, Tandaan natin na ang taong masaya, maraming nagagawa. Sa ating pagmamahal sa trabaho natin makikita ang tunay na kasiyahan,” said Lt. Gen. Sobejana in his remarks during the anniversary ceremony.
“To the people of Central Mindanao, you are the key to inclusive and genuine peace. Terrorism can never be defeated solely by the Army. We need your active involvement,” he added. #
