FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Commanding General Philippine Army (CGPA) graced the 22nd Founding Anniversary of the 55th “Mangumpiya” Engineer Brigade (55EBde), on October 26, 2020 at Bgy. Maria Cristina, Balo-I, Lanao del Norte
Lt. Gen. Cirilito E. Sobejana recognized the unit’s nation-building capabilities through infrastructure and civic efforts, and their support to national flagship projects such as the ground leveling of Technical Education and Skills Development Authority-Iligan City and construction of a two-storey building at Patani Elementary School.
The CGPA presided the pinning of the Initiated Status medallion to the 55EBde’s plaque for instituting the functionality of its strategy execution mechanism. He also led the presentation of awards to military personnel and civilian employees as well as civilian awardees.
The CGPA also thanked the unit for their support to the Joint Task Force Bangon Marawi in its rehabilitation efforts in the most affected area of the City.
“Maraming salamat, Mangumpiya Troopers. Ipinagmamalaki ng Philippine Army ang inyong mga programa para maiangat ang kapakanan ng mga mamamayan lalo ngayong panahon ng pandemya,” said Lt. Gen. Sobejana in his remarks.
“As you celebrate another year of service, remember that where the road ends, war begins. So keep on building for peace,” he added. #
