FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Commandant of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) rendered an official visit to the Philippine Army (PA) Headquarters, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City today, November 23, 2020.
Admiral George Ursabia Jr and Lt. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana, the Commanding General of the Philippine Army, signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Education and Training in order to create a wider venue for both parties in enhancing individual and unit capabilities as well as strengthen the ties between the two organizations.
During his visit, Admiral Ursabia was awarded the Combat Commander’s “Kagitingan” Badge for his exemplary service and support to the Philippine Army.
The CGPA lauded the growing interoperability between the two security agencies. “This mutual endeavor will promote leadership, camaraderie, and discipline. All of these will surely capacitate our forces to accomplish our respective mandates. Kaya sa ating patuloy na pakikipag-ugnayan, tiyak na maisakakatuparan natin ang ating mga adhikain para sa kapayapaan at kaunlaran ng ating bayan,” Lt. Gen. Sobejana said in his remarks. #
