FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Philippine Army (PA) garners an excellent rating in the just concluded Annual General Inspection (AGI) here today, December 7, 2020.
The PA gained an “excellent” rating of 96.60% based on the inspection parameters and rating system; and a “very good” overall rating of 94.39% in leadership, morale and welfare; and discipline, law and order.
The Office of The Inspector General, Armed Forces of the Philippines conducts the AGI as a management tool for assessing whether AFP units were able to accomplish their respective mission; ensure a high level of morale and welfare and discipline of troops; strenghten leadership; and guarantee the effective and efficient utilization of government resources. The results will further allow the PA in identifying whether it has effectively carried out its organizational objectives into quantifiable results, which is necessary to track the organization’s alignment with the Army Transformation Roadmap.
“This is yet another concrete testament to your unceasing and relentless efforts to serve the people and secure the land, for which the AFP leadership is proud of and grateful for,” said The Inspector General, AFP, Lt. Gen. Franco Nemesio M. Gacal.
In his speech, Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Cirilito E. Sobejana attributed the positive results with the troops’ productivity influenced by passion, professionalism, and discipline.
“Let us always ensure that the quality of output or services remain at the highest levels possible. Likewise, let us continue to perform our duties with diligence and commitment to attain lasting peace and progress for our nation,” said the CGPA.#
