FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila - The Philippine Army Multi-Sector Advisory Board (PA MSAB) held its quarterly Regular Meeting via video teleconference here on December 8, 2020.
Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Cirilito E. Sobejana with MSAB Chairman Director General Charito Plaza discussed each sub-committee's project updates and future programs, including the projections for Army-Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) partnership penned "Tatag ng Imprastraktura para sa Kapayapaan at Seguridad" also known as TIKAS. The initiative enables both the Department of National Defense and DPWH to collaborate on mutually benefitting projects.
During the meeting, the Strategic Communication Committee reported the success of the block screening for the documentary film "Memoirs of a Teenage Rebel" held at Cinema 10, Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall on December 5. Said film includes the testimonies of former rebels who joined the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People's Army out of their desire to serve the country, only to realize the duplicitous nature of the movement which revolves around corruption, violence, sexual harassment, and exploitation of minors among others.
"The command continues to rely on its Multi-Sector Advisory Board to pursue genuine transformation so that it shall attain its 2028 vision to be a world-class organization and a source of national pride," said Lt. Gen. Sobejana as he concluded the meeting.
"Truly, it is an honor to have such accomplished individuals guiding us in our transformation, and eventually on our peace-building efforts," he added. #
