FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila - Five New People's Army (NPA) terrorists were killed in a firefight when they engaged troops from the 2nd Infantry "Jungle Fighter" Division, Rizal Provincial Police Office and Regional Mobile Force Battalion who were serving an arrest warrant to a high-ranking NPA leader on December 17, 2020 at Sitio Malalim, Brgy. San Juan, Baras, Rizal.
The NPA terrorists fired upon the arresting officers, resulting to a gun battle that led to the death of five enemy personalities. The subject of the arrest warrant, Antonio Cule who is wanted for frustrated murder, fled the site as authorities pursued him.
Said encounter also led to the seizure of two M16 rifles, one cal .45 pistol and cal .38 pistol, one sub-machine gun, several electronic devices, and subversive documents. #
