Army Multi-Sector Advisory Board receives new members

FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila - The Philippine Army Multi-Sector Advisory Board (PA MSAB) received its new members here today, January 26, 2021.
Through a video conference, Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Cirilitio E. Sobejana led the oath-taking ceremony of Undersecretary J. Eduardo Malaya, Department of Foreign Affairs; Commissioner Leah C. Tanodra-Armamento, Commission on Human Rights; and Consul General Henry B. Bensurto Jr., Consulate General of the Philippines.
Newly sworn members will join the Legal and Diplomatic Relations Committee of PA MSAB that functions along other committees namely Governance; Resource Management; Review and Assessment; Strategic Communication; and Research and Education. With members coming from the government, non-government, media, business, defense, and youth sectors; the PA MSAB aims to promote the continuity and sustainability of the Army Transformation Roadmap and to encourage shared responsibility in its successes.
Usec Malaya, Commissioner Tanodra-Armamento, and Consulate General Bensurto expressed their appreciation and excitement to share their expertise with the Army that will further advance both parties’ endeavors of serving the country and strengthening relationships with counterparts.
“The Philippine Army resolves to be one with the government and the Filipino people in safeguarding basic human rights, identifying potential local and international partners in defending the country’s sovereignty and supporting the government’s efforts in building a just society,” said Lt.
