FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila - The Philippine Army hosted the Game of the Generals at the Army Firing Range yesterday, January 27, 2021.
Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana in his speech highlighted that the shooting game aims to display sportsmanship and foster camaraderie among the military and various law enforcement agencies.
Participants of the said game were the generals coming the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine Army (PA), Philippine Air Force (PAF), Philippine Navy (PN), Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP), and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP).
The PA brought home the Perpetual Trophy of the GOG 2021 after it was hailed as the overall champion for earning the three stage championship for Hit Factor, Color Coding, and Tri-Gun. On the other hand, the PAF bagged the Championship medal for the Buddy System category.
“I hope that this Game of the Generals further flourish in the future so that our senior leaders will have a venue for harnessing their shooting skills while enjoying the company of their fellow public servants,” said Lt. Gen. Sobejana. “Nawa ay maipagpatuloy pa natin ang mga ganitong programang may layuning mapagbuklod at mapagkaisa ang ating mga organisasyon sa pagpapanaliti ng kapayapaan at kaunlaran ng ating bansa,” he added.#
