FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Commanding General, Philippine Army (CGPA) made his first visit to the 11th Infantry “Alakdan” Division (11ID) at Camp Teofilo Bautista, Jolo, Sulu on February 24, 2021.
The CGPA Lt. Gen. Jose C Faustino was welcomed by Maj. Gen. William Gonzales, Commander of 11ID, and presented the accomplishments of the division in neutralizing terrorists within their area of responsibility.
He also commended the command's operational readiness in maintaining the peace and security situation in Mindanao including the successful operations that resulted to the neutralization of 158 enemy personalities and seizure of 123 firearms, and the implementation of “Balik Barangay Program” to 850 families in the municipality of Patikul.
“To the troops of Alakdan Division, let us continue to sustain the momentum in capacitating the Philippine Army towards greater mission effectiveness. Remain aggressive in neutralizing the terrorist groups and in conducting peace and development initiatives, with our core values of honor, patriotism, and duty, together, let us make the Philippine Army a world-class army that is a source of national pride.” Lt.
