FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – One CPP-NPA Terrorist (CNT) was killed in an encounter between the 16th Infantry Battalion, 4th Infantry “Diamond” Division and Communist Terrorist 3rd platoon, HQF, NEO, NCMRC on May 20, 2021 at Brgy. Guinabsan, Buenavista, Agusan del Norte.
The operating troops encountered 15 CNTs while conducting focus military operation. The troops engaged the terrorists in a 15-minute firefight leading to the death of one terrorist.
Two AK-47 rifles were seized after the encounter. Pursuit operations are conducted to find, fix and finish the remaining terrorists.
