FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Philippine Army Real Estate Center (AREC) is officially activated here today, May 28, 2021.
Gracing the event was the Army Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Rowen S. Tolentino who spearheaded the transition of AREC from Army Real Estate Office (AREO), which is also deactivated today.
As part of the continuous transformation of the PA towards becoming a world-class organization, AREC will continue to serve as a special staff in formulating policies about the administration and management of the Army’s real estate properties.
Currently led by Col. Ulpiano Olarte, AREC aims to synchronize the Army’s real estate management functions and capacitate the Real Estate Office of different PA Major Units in the preservation and ownership of the organization’s military reservations and major camps.
“As we recognize the necessity to recalibrate our organization, the activation of AREC is the embodiment of our continuing pursuit of organizational reform. I trust that AREC will consistently perform its functions well and will continuously build on what AREO has already started,” said Maj. Gen. Tolentino.
“Let us continue to demonstrate the Philippine Army’s core values of honor, patriotism, and duty as we march forward on our journey to become a world-class Army that is a source of national pride,” he added.#
