Philippine Army Signal Regiment celebrates 10th Founding Anniversary

FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Philippine Army Signal Regiment (ASR) celebrated its 10th Founding Anniversary here today, May 28, 2021.

During the event, Army Commanding General Maj. Gen. Andres C. Centino lauded ASR’s efforts in rendering support to the organization’s overall mission accomplishment.

ASR serves as the organization’s core provider of signal support and services with cutting-edge Command, Control, Communication, and Cyber System equipment. The signal service enables commanders to have better command and control; prompt reporting of developments in the field; and providing efficient situational awareness.

In response to the COVID19, ASR also developed the Philippine Army COVID-19 Telemedicine Information System (PACTIS) that systematically record and consolidate detailed information of identified Army personnel and their dependents that have been tested positive for COVID-19 in order to efficiently monitor and manage human resources.

“As we mark the 10th Anniversary of the Army Signal Regiment, let us celebrate the vital roles you have played silently behind every victory of our armed forces throughout the years; and let today be a time to reinforce the commitment and dedication to duty that have become the hallmark of your service,” said the CGPA.#
