CGPA visits 1st Infantry “Tabak” Division (1ID)

FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The troops of the 1st Infantry “Tabak” Division (1ID) welcomed the Commanding General, Philippine Army (CGPA) during his visit today, May 31, 2021 at Camp Major Cesar L. Sang-an, Pulacan, Labangan, Zamboanga.
Maj. Gen. Andres C. Centino expressed his appreciation to the troops for their operational success that contributed to the Army’s goal of winning over the enemy.
He recognized the division’s contribution in the Army’s victory against insurgency through the neutralization of 69 enemy personalities, recovery of 45 firearms, and clearing of 22 and five barangays from the influence of Communist and Local Terrorist Group respectively.
Maj. Gen. Centino, in his visit, also highlighted the four areas the Army must focus on such as intelligence-driven operations, optimized use of financial resources, advancement of professionalization and meritocracy within the organization, and capability and base development. The CGPA conveyed his confidence in the troops’ capability to secure the state and end insurgency and end local armed conflict of the country. #
