FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Commanding General, Philippine Army (CGPA) welcomed the Philippine Army’s (PA) new 2nd Lieutenants and Foreign Service Academy graduates here yesterday, June 22, 2021.
Maj. Gen. Andres Centino led the reception for the 86 graduates of Philippine Military Academy “Masaligan” Class 2021, United States Military Academy, Australia Defense Force Academy, Republic of Korea Academy, and Royal Military College of Canada.
Said event serves as a formal acceptance for the graduates who chose the PA as their branch of service and to learn from senior officers in preparation for their deployment as leaders in various PA units.
The CGPA emphasized in his speech the command’s thrusts in optimizing the use of resources; advance professionalization and meritocracy within the organization; pursue capability and base development, and most especially, conduct purposive intelligence-driven operations.
“As you carry on with your military service, always remember to abide by the Army’s core values of honor, patriotism, and duty,” said the CGPA.
“Together, let us make new milestones for team Army and be victorious as we sustain excellence amidst the challenges and instill among ourselves the culture of discipline. As one team Army, let us win the peace for our country,” he added.#
