FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Philippine Army Aviation “Hiraya” Regiment (Provisional) celebrated its 2nd year activation anniversary today, July 8, 2021 at Fort Ramon Magsaysay, Palayan, Nueva Ecija.
Army Commanding General Maj. Gen. Andres Centino lauded the Regiment for its successful contributions to the overall mission accomplishment of the Army by providing air support to various operations.
Maj. Gen. Centino and Hiraya Regiment Commander Col. Andre Santos also expressed gratitude to Manny Pangilinan for his donation of a Messerchmitt Bolkow Blohm BO105M Helicopter which was commissioned during the celebration.
“I would like to thank every member of team Hiraya for giving your best in every task. As we celebrate another milestone, let us always remain focused on our mission and continue to work together in serving our country,” said Col. Santos.
The Regiment had its humble beginning as the Army Aviation Battalion in April 1978 with the primary mission of providing tactical airlift of combat troops, supplies and equipment of the divisions/brigades during the conduct of operation.
“To the men and women of the Hiraya Regiment let us sustain excellence amidst the challenges and instill among ourselves the culture of discipline while we reach our vision of becoming a world-class Army that is a source of national pride,” noted the CGPA.#
