FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila - The Philippine Army welcomed the visit of the Philippine Navy's 39th Flag Officer in Command (FOIC) Rear Admiral Adeluis S. Bordado here today, July 12, 2021.
The Commanding General Philippine Army Maj. Gen. Andres C. Centino, along with the Army General and Technical Staff, briefed the FOIC and his party of the capabilities and programs of the Philippine Army beneficial to the current and future joint Army-Navy operations.
“Being apprised with these updates from our Major Service counterparts gives me a lot of comfort in knowing that we may have different organizational objectives or approaches, of course, owing to the diversity of security threats and different organizational dynamics that we face, I believe that we are still united by a shared end-point, and that is none other than to improve, to be better than how we used to be or how we are right now.” said Rear Admiral Bordado.
Rear Admiral Bordado also expressed his condolences to the recent C-130 plane crash involving Army and Philippine Airforce personnel.
"To Rear Admiral Bordado, thank you for visiting the Philippine Army Headquarters. With the timeline set by President Rodrigo Duterte to end local insurgency and armed conflict, it is high time we, the Armed Forces of the Philippines, join our efforts to finish the enemy. Together, we can do more. Keep up the good work, and Bravo Zulu," said Maj. Gen Centino during the meeting's conclusion. #
