SMS Glicerio Y Busmeon Jr (Inf) PA is currently the Command Sergeant Major of Reserve Command, Philippine Army based in Camp Mariano Riego De Dios, Tanza Cavite since he assumed Command on 10 May 2021. Entered in military service on 01 December 1985 as Third Class Trainee (3CT) at the First Scout Ranger Regiment, Philippine Army Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila. As such he is the principal and special staff of the Commander, Reserve Command, Philippine Army who is in-charge to assist the Commander of empowering the NCOs to ensure the highest standard of Discipline, recommends the moral and welfare of his men to the commander plays a role model of the Command and always maintaining the supreme quality of leadership and integrity. Prior to this, he served as the rifleman of the 8th Scout Ranger Company First Scout Ranger Regiment, Philippine Army as the maneuvering force or the striker of FSRR, PA in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao from 1987 to 1990 and the later reassigned at 44th (AGILE AND STABLE) Infantry Battalion, 1st Infantry (TABAK) Division, Philippine Army in Mindanao after the First Scout Ranger Regiment was unfilled in 1989. He also served as filing clerk at s1 section at the 9th Regional Community Defense Group, ARESCOM in 1996. Before he was designated as Acting Sergeant Major of the 9th, ARESCOM in 2015 to 2018, he was then assigned at 903rd CDC, 9RCDG, ARESCOM as Operations and Training NCO in 2005 to 2011 and the later designated as First Sergeant, On 04 December 2018 after he underwent the rough and rugged road of AFP Sergeant Major Course Cl 16-2018 at the AFP Education Training and Doctrine Command (AFPETDC) composed of three (3) major component Army, Navy and Philippine Air Force where he was elected as the class president in their class among eighty (80) sergeants Major and received the Leadership Award after graduation, and their his full capacity as the Group Sergeant Major of the 9th Regional Community Defense Group ARESCOM was duly and truly confirmed by the Headquarters Philippine Army. On 10 May 2021 when the ARESCOM deliberation board of Sergeants Major he was adjudged and chosen by the deliberation committee and further designated in the position as the 15th Command Sergeant Major of the Army Reserve Command.
Significantly, during his assignment at 8th Scout Ranger Company, First Scout Ranger Regiment, Philippine Army at his younger age when his assignment based in Paulog, Ligao, Albay in Bicol Region his teammate (a Ranger trained) met with a heavy encounter with the CTG under @ka Nognog (TN: Sotero Llamas) where his team received the Military Merit Medal with Bronze Spearhead Device (BSD). SMS Glicerio Y Busmen Jr (Inf) PA is a Scout Ranger qualified belongs to SR CI 86-87. He is also a Past Master of PALILAN Masonic Lodge Nr 239 of Free and Accepted Masons of the Philippines. He earned his degree as Bachelor of Arts (Pol Sci) at Immaculate Conception College La Salle in 1993 happily married to former Miss Melda Pacana of Cagayan de Oro City blessed with three (3) children namely: Glicer Giovan; Glicer Gibbon and Glicer Giovine.
