MGEN ROMULO A MANUEL JR PA Installed as Commander, Reserve Command Philippine Army
Camp Riego De Dios, Tanza, Cavite- COL SAMUEL MANZANO INF (GSC) PA turns over the flag of the Reserve Command, Philippine Army to MGEN ROMULO A MANUEL JR PA on 27 February 2023 at Headquarters, Reserve Command Philippine Army, Camp Riego De Dios, Tanza, Cavite. The Change of Command Ceremony was presided by LTGEN ROMEO S BRAWNER JR PA, the Commanding General of the Philippine Army.
MAJOR GENERAL ROMULO A MANUEL JR PA is the 26th Commander of the Reserve Command Philippine Army following his assignment as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Reservist and Retiree Affairs, J9, Armed Forces of the Philippines. MGEN MANUEL also assumed different positions with high responsibilities as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence, J2, AFP; Philippine Defense and Armed Forces Attachē to Spain at the same time Non-Resident Attachē to the United Kingdom, France, and Italy from 2015-2018. He was also the former Regiment Commander of the Army Artillery Regiment.
MGEN MANUEL gives his marching orders which include: (1) pursue institutionalization of organizational excellence; (2) revisit the concepts of recruitments and utilization of the Phil Army affiliated reserve units; (3) strengthen the manpower development initiatives of the command; (4) further develop and capacitate the reserve force through integration training; (5) support the mandatory implementation of the ROTC program; and (6) endeavor to transform into a robust and credible organization. MGEN MANUEL also emphasized his support for the Mandatory ROTC bill and also his support for the National ROTC Games which will start this March.
Meanwhile, LTGEN ROMEO S BRAWNER JR PA, Commanding General Philippine Army lauded the leadership of COL SAMUEL A MANZANO INF (GSC) PA who upholds the spirit of “unity in service” during his stint as Acting Commander, RCPA. Also CGPA expresses his trust and confidence in the newly installed Commander, RCPA MGEN ROMULO A MANUEL JR PA who will be leading the administration of the implementation of the Mandatory ROTC.
