FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Philippine Army tendered traditional military honors to the newly promoted generals here, Friday, December 14, 2018.

Recently, President Rodrigo R Duterte, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines administered the Oath-Taking and conferment of the newly promoted Generals of the Philippine Army on December 12 at the Rizal Hall, Malacañang Palace.

The event stands part of the military noble tradition wherein, the Command share the pride and honor with the honoree for the recognition of their professionalism and unwavering achievements in their careers.

The newly promoted are composed of three Lieutenant Generals, eight Major Generals and 22 Brigadier Generals. The Commanding General, Philippine Army, Lt. Gen. Macairog S. Alberto is one of those who received his 3rd star rank along with Lt. Gen. Arnel B. Del Vega, Commander, WESMINCOM and Lt. Gen. Ronnie S. Evangelista, Superintendent of PMA.

On the list of Major General includes Maj. Gen. Bienvenido R. Datuin, Commander, Civil Relation Service, AFP; Maj. Gen. Dinoh A. Dolina, Commander, 3rd Infantry (Spearhead) Division; Maj. Gen. Roy T. Devesa, Commander, TRADOC; Maj. Gen. Cirilito E. Sobejana, Commander, 6th Infantry (Kampilan) Division; Maj. Gen. Pio Q. Dinoso III, Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistic, J4; Maj. Gen. Felipe B. Bejar, TCE, AFP; Maj. Gen. Erwin Bernard L. Neri, Chief, Intelligence Service, AFP and Maj. Gen. Manuel A. Rey, Commander, AFP Special Operation Command.

In addition, the 22 others promoted to Brigadier Generals are Brig. Gen. Cirilo Thomas P. Donato, Deputy Chief, WESMINCOM; Brig. Gen. Pablo M Lorenzo, Senior Military Assistant; Brig. Gen. Monico S. During the reception, Lieutenant General Alberto in his message said that, “the leadership journey will be challenging, but I am sure that you will be able to prevail and turn them into opportunities to further advance our service. May this event remind us that we should always be the best exemplars of public service”.

“We also give thanks to our respectively families who are instrumental in the momentous event of our lives and the sources of our strength and inspiration, their understanding, sacrifices and support have enabled us to bring out the best in ourselves”, Alberto, added.

The Philippine Army always ensure to place brilliant leaders in key and sensitive position to ensure that the Command could met the ideals and aspirations of the Filipino people in support to the government and President Duterte’s peace building initiatives to create a stable and stronger nation.#
