The Philippine Army joined the sunset ceremony which culminated the commemoration of the 82th Veterans’ Week at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Libingan ng mga Bayani, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila on April 11, 2024.
The sunset ceremony is a tradition where Filipino veterans and their families, government officials, soldiers, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of the Philippines gather and light candles at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier to honor the heroism and sacrifices of Filipino war veterans.
The 2024 Veterans’ Week commemoration is anchored on the theme “Pagpaparangal sa Kagitingan ng mga Beterano: Saligan para sa Nagkakaisang Pilipino."
