FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The commander of the Joint Task Force – National Capital Region (JTF-NCR) paid a courtesy call to the Commanding General Philippine Army here on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2019.
Brigadier General Alex DC Luna paid a courtesy call to the Commanding General Philippine Army Lt. Gen. Macairog S. Alberto and discussed the role of the Army as one of the forces providers of the task force for the success of its mission. The Army rendered its welcome honors for Luna prior his meeting with the CGPA.
The JTF-NCR provides support to the Philippine National Police to maintain peace and order as well combat terrorism in Metro Manila. The major services of the Armed Forces of the Philippines namely the Army, Navy, and the Air Force provide manpower support to the task force.
“The Philippine Army fully supports the crucial role of JTF-NCR in securing the seat of government as well as the vital installations in the National Capital Region against various threats. Our constant cooperation with other government agencies helps ensure the safety and security of the people residing in Metro Manila,” said the Army spokesperson, Lt. Col. Ramon P. Zagala.#
