FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The new members of the Philippine Army Multi-Sector Advisory Board (PA MSAB) takes their oath here today, December 3.
The PA MSAB, which was established in the nationwide and local level, aims to promote the continuity and sustainability of the Army Transformation Roadmap and to encourage shared responsibility in its success.
Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Macairog S. Alberto led the oath-taking and pinning of ATR Stakeholder pin to some of the new members from the government, non-government, media, business, defense, and youth sectors.
Among the 16 member-board present in the ceremony were John Aloysius Bernas, Antonino Aquino, Harold Clavite, Dr. Maria Isabel Cojuangco-Suntay, Matteo Guidicelli and Cong. Zajid Mangundadatu.
Bernas served as the Country Representative for Global Message Services, Chief Investment Officer of the LifeBank Foundation Inc., Global Advisory Board of LeapFrog Investments, and Independent Director of Intellicare. Aquino on the other hand is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Ayala Land, Manila Water and PhilamLife. Clavite, was the Managing Director and Communication Specialist of HRS Training and Consulting as well as Executive Associate, United Nations Development Programme. Dr. Maria Isabel Cojuangco-Suntay was a co-founder of Tarlac Heritage Foundation and is active in the advocacy in the collection, preservation, and conservation of the “heritage resources of the Province of Tarlac. Guidicelli is an actor and currently a Reserve Military Officer of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. Lastly, Cong. Zajid Mangundadatu serves as the Congressman of the 2nd District of Maguindanao.
The board will serve in an advisory capacity and shall submit its findings and recommendations to the Army Commanding General. Moreover, the members are tasked to come together in order to conduct the PA MASB summit wherein all MSAB Members all over the country gathers to share the best practices and encourage the spirit of volunteerism in transformation among key stakeholders.
