Army installs new HHSG commander

FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Philippine Army Headquarters and Headquarters Support Group (HHSG) welcomed its new commander in a Change of Command Ceremony held here today, July 20, 2020.

Col. Rosalio G. Pompa took over the position from Brig. Gen. Bienvenido Y. Regondola in a ceremony presided by Army Vice Commander Maj. Gen. Reynaldo M. Aquino.

Pompa served as the Chief of Staff of 2nd Infantry “Jungle Fighter” Division prior to his assumption as Commander, HHSG. He also served as Chief of the Governance and Strategy Management Office of 2ID; and Commanding Officer of the 191st Military Police Battalion, HHSG. Pompa is a member of the Philippine Military Academy “Bigkis Lahi” Class of 1990 with a Master’s in Management Major in Public Administration from the Philippine Christian University.

Meanwhile, the HHSG under Regondola's leadership conducted successful Command activities, camp security, and ceremonial services. Regondola also served as the Inspector General and Defense and Armed Forces Attaché of the Intelligence Service Armed Forces of the Philippines. He holds a Master’s Degree in Management from Philippine Christian University and is a member of the Philippine Military Academy “Maringal” Class of 1988.

“To Brig. Gen. Regondola, taos-pusong kaming nagpapasalamat sa iyong pangangalaga sa kaayusan at kaligtasan ng HPA. Maraming salamat sa iyong serbisyo sa Hukbo at sa ating bansa. To Col. Pompa, I trust in you to build on the foundations laid by Gen. Regondola. Advance the HHSG’s thrusts of enhancing our personnel management program, providing efficient base support, strengthening support sustainment systems and processes, increasing operational readiness, and sustaining the HHSG’s transformation roadmap,” said Aquino in his speech during the ceremony. #
