On the other hand, troops from the 501st Infantry Brigade and Philippine National Police conducted a joint operation that led to the arrest of CTG finance officer Amanda Socorro Echanis.
Both operations resulted to the seizure of one Uzi machine gun, M16 rifle, M14 rifle, Carbine M1 rifle, Glock pistol, rifle grenades, hand grenade, several ammunition, subversive documents, communication devices, and anti-personnel mines (APM). A drawing illustration on how to make APMs was also seized.
“This achievement is attributed to the development in the Army’s Capability Enhancement Program (CEP) which aims to strengthen the organization’s ability to find, fix and finish the enemy; and augmented with capable and well-motivated soldiers as well as the support and cooperation of the public,” said Army Commanding General Lt.
