Army conducts 2021 Command Conference

FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila – The Philippine Army held its first Army-wide Command Conference of the year here today, January 19, 2021.
Commanding General Philippine Army (CGPA) Lt. Gen. Cirilito E. Sobejana; along with the Philippine Army Major Unit Commanders and General, Special, Technical, and Personal Staff; held the conference where the command’s accomplishments from the previous year under the new normal were presented. Also, a briefing on the on-going Character Enhancement Program was conducted. This is to produce and develop leaders of character and competence that will lead towards a better Army.
During said conference, the CGPA delivered his guidance to pursue Army’s thrusts of determining and addressing capability gaps to find and finish the enemy, pursuing a responsive morale and welfare program, sustaining good governance and pursuing organizational reform, and pursuing engagements with multi-national partners and sustain partnerships with domestic stakeholders.
“As we start another year, we shall build on such momentum to sustain our gains. Despite the challenges of the times, we must not lose sight of the Philippine Army’s role as a force provider in order to enable the Unified Commands to accomplish their mission,” remarked Lt. Gen. Sobejana. #
