Army honors stakeholders and personnel awardees

The Philippine Army honors the meritorious efforts of the stakeholders, military personnel, and Civilian Human Resource during the 125th Founding Anniversary Program on March 22, 2022 at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila.
 
In a ceremony graced by the Department of National Defense Secretary Delfin N. Lorenzana and Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., the stakeholders received a Command Plaque and the “Kapayapaan Para Sa Lahat” sculpture exclusively made by Paolo Gerero from Camarines Norte, Bicol Region. The awarded stakeholders were the Philippine Commission on Women, Bounty Agro Ventures Incorporated, Asian Development Bank, Armed Forces and Police Mutual Benefit Association Incorporated, and Army Reservist 1st Lt. Ronnie Liang.
 
During the ceremony, a Distinguished Service Star was awarded to Lt. Col. Louie G. Dema-ala while a Distinguished Service Medal was given to Col. Perfecto P. Peñaredondo. 2nd Lt. Arjay T. Rebultan, 2nd Lt. Elier Ted G. Berdin, and SSgt. Angelo C. Cernitchez all received the Gold Cross Medal while Maj. Christopher L. Cuenca and SSgt. Wilson N. Calutan received the Silver Cross Medal. A Meritorious Achievement Medal was also awarded to Col. Rommel R. Cordova and TSgt. Elvis C. Brugada.
 
The Command also awarded the best personnel of the year in the persons of Sgt. Jeneses S. Jomento as the Best Enlisted Personnel, CAA Jovert M. Lacaba as the Best CAA, Lt. Col. Ma. Teresa P. Baylon as the Best Reservist Officer, Sgt. Sheila O. Peji as the Best Reservist Enlisted Personnel, Cadet Col. Florencio L. Marquez as the Best Male ROTC Cadet, Cadet Col. Aila G. Mutia as the Best Female ROTC Cadet, Mr. Emeterio A. Ornedo Jr. as the Model Supervisor, and Ms. Gina M. Parazo as the Model Employee.
 
Sec. Lorenzana and Lt. Gen. Brawner also awarded the Commanding General Philippine Army (CGPA) Streamers to 25 Army Major Units for their significant achievements against the local armed struggle in their areas of operation.
 
The CGPA commended the personnel and the stakeholders for going above and beyond their line of duty to provide quality service to the Filipino people. He also extended his gratitude for their consistent efforts to achieve development and inclusive peace nationwide.
