Army conducts Service Orientation for new lieutenants

The Philippine Army, through the Army Personnel Management Center (APMC), conducts a two-week Service Orientation Program for the new 2nd Lieutenants on April 13, 2022, at Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila.

APMC Director Col. Patrick B. De Villa welcomed the graduates of Officer Candidate Course Class 55-2021 as they prepare for their field assignments and military duties.

In his remarks during the opening ceremony, Col. De Villa advised the new lieutenants to be humble, open, and teachable as they take on their work of service for the Filipino people. He also reiterated the mission of APMC to ensure the welfare of the Army’s human resource.

“Your years in the school, including the training that you’ve experienced outside the OCS – the lessons that have been imparted on you, honed you to become the person that you are today, so be proud but stay grounded; think about yourselves but never forget to serve,” said Col. De Villa.
