Army continues HADR efforts for Agaton victims in Iloilo, Capiz

The Army’s 301st Infantry “Bayanihan” Brigade (301Bde), 3rd Infantry Division over the weekend continued its humanitarian assistance and disaster response (HADR) efforts for families affected by tropical cyclone "Agaton" in the provinces of Iloilo and Capiz.

Despite of the limitation and challenges brought about by unpassable roads, damaged bridges, and limited search and rescue equipment, combined troops conducted search, rescue, retrieval and relief operations mobilizing available units namely: 12th and 82nd Infantry Battalions, 552nd Engineering Construction Battalion, 33rd Civil-Military Operations Company, and 31st Division Reconnaissance Company, reservists from 6th Regional Community Group, Forward Service Support Unit of ASCOM, and the Tactical Operations Group 6 of the Philippine Air Force.

Agaton, the first tropical cyclone to hit the country this year, has caused landslides and floods in Eastern Visayas and Western Visayas.
