A French defense official rendered a courtesy call on Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., at the sidelines of the 2022 Asian Defense and Security (ADAS) at the World Trade Center, Pasay City on April 28, 2022.
Général de brigade (Brigadier General) Caroline Salahun, Asia-Pacific Director of France’s Direction Générale de L'armement (DGA), met with Lt. Gen. Brawner to possible defense equipment acquisition such as the land-based air defense system that could be procured from French defense firms.
DGA is the French government’s defense procurement and technology agency responsible for the program management, development and purchase of weapon systems for the French military.
The Philippine Army, joined other major AFP service branches and Philippine defense agencies, in showcasing state-of-the-art capabilities and equipment in the 2022 edition of ADAS which is considered to be the Philippines’ flagship defense and security event.
ADAS 2022 gathered 156 exhibitors that featured latest weapons systems in 13 country pavilions. The event focused on the needs and requirements of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) armed forces, police forces, and disaster response agencies. #
