Army table tennis athletes showed off their prowess in the first-ever Balamban Festival National Invitational Tournament on May 6, 2022 in Santiago City, Isabela
Team Army, composed of Corporal Rodolfo M. Quijano, Jr., Private First Class Homber N. Tiongson, Private First Class Kenny S. Castro, and Private First Class Xy-Dhe Kim R. Ramos, placed second runner-up in the Team Open Event category.
Moreover, Corporal Quijano, Jr., and Corporal Castro both placed second runner-up in the Table A and Table B of the Single's 30 years old and above category.
Special Service Center Director Col. John Oliver F. Gabun commended Army table tennis athletes on their victory. Col Gabun has vowed to provide them with ample resources and top-notch training facilities so they can further hone their skills, in line with the “SERVE” guidance of Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr.
