Army athlete bags another bronze in 31st SEA Games

FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila - Our Army athletes never cease to impress the Filipino people as they bagged another bronze medal in addition to the total medal earned by our contingent during the 100-meter hurdles (women’s category) of the 31st Southeast Asian Games in Hanoi, Vietnam on May 16, 2022.

Private Jelly Dianne C. Paragile finishes the said event and placed herself in third spot following athletes from Vietnam and Indonesia who placed first and second, respectively.

Army athletes who joined this event to represent our country have earlier clinched medals in kurash (a form of upright jacket wrestling native to Uzbekistan) and rowing events of the 31st edition of the biennial regional sporting meet.

Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. expresses his commendation to our Army athletes as they bring pride and honor not just to the Philippine Army but to the country as well. The Army Chief has also lauded Army athletes for their significant contribution as Team Philippines continues to bag medals in the 31st  Southeast Asian Games.
