On the second round of military schooling for this calendar year 2022, the Army's Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) steered the official opening program of service courses through face-to-face and virtual ceremony on 20th of May 2022 at Camp O’ Donnell, Capas, Tarlac.
The Joint Opening Ceremony was graced by Maj. Gen. Laurence E. Mina, Commander of the 5th Infantry “Star” Division, as the Guest of Honor and Speaker (GOHAS). “Education and training are important elements to prepare military personnel to gear up for the demands of the service. Career and specialization courses offered by the Philippine Army are designed to meet the ever-changing dynamics of the military environment. This is a key tool in achieving our vision of becoming a world-class Army,” Maj. Gen. Mina highlighted in his remarks.
The schooling was joined by 2,931 military students with 75 different career and specialization courses. TRADOC will hold the training in its organic, extension schools, and Division Training Schools (DTS). Others will be conducted in the Philippine Army Major Unit (PAMU) DTS so that the infantry divisions can focus on their core functions and operational campaign.
Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., commended the TRADOC of its excellent undertaking to provide the best career courses for the soldiers’ individual and personal development. Lt. Gen. Brawner emphasized in his command guidance, SERVE, that training support and educational advancement are vital in making our soldiers to reach their full potential while performing their duties in the Philippine Army.
