China's defense attaché strengthens ties with PA

People’s Republic of China defense attaché Senior Colonel Li Jianzhong rendered an introductory call to Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., to strengthen ties between the two armies on June 2, 2022 at Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila.
 
The Army Chief and the Chinese defense attaché discussed matters related to bilateral training and education. Sr. Col. Li conveyed his intention to link up with PA personnel who studied in China to invite them for an activity in line with the 47th anniversary of the establishment of the Philippine-China diplomatic relations. The Chinese defense attaché likewise invited Lt. Gen. Brawner to visit the country.
 
Lt. Gen. Brawner and Sr. Col. Li also tackled the importance of strengthening diplomatic relations between the two countries, emphasizing the importance of promoting peace and diplomacy as an effective channel in conflict resolution.
 
Lt. Gen. Brawner likewise thanked Sr. Col. Li for China’s Covid-19 vaccine donations which boosted the Philippine Army’s thrust to shield its personnel from the highly infectious disease.
