6SFBn marks 1st medical mission in Patikul since pandemic

In collaboration with the 1103rd Infantry “Kalis” Brigade, Joint Task Force Sulu, Municipal Task Force to End Local Armed Conflict (MTF-ELAC), Philippine General Council of the Assemblies of God (PGCAG) and other stakeholders, operating troops of the 6th Special Forces “Lionheart” Battalion delivered the first Joint Medical Civic Action Program (MEDCAP) last May 28-30, 2022 in Patikul, Sulu since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
 
The Lionheart troopers and its partners provided basic services to the residence of barangays Kabbon Takas, Igasan, Kan-Ague, Buhanginan, Kaunayan, and Pangdanon all of Patikul, Sulu. The community service comprised of medical and dental check-up, eye-checkup, COVID-19 vaccination, circumcision, haircut, Municipal Civil Registrar and Sharia Court services, feeding program, and gift giving. A total of 3,553 individuals benefited in the program.
 
Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., commended the 6th Special Forces Battalion and their partners for their noble initiative in assisting the residents of Patikul especially in Balik Barangay areas.
