51st Engineer Brigade receives new mobility assets

The 51st Engineer Brigade (51EBde), one of the Philippine Army’s premier engineering arms, received newly-acquired mobility assets that will bolster its transportation capability in a blessing ceremony at Camp General Rigoberto J. Atienza, Quezon City on June 12, 2022.

51EBde received three SADKO 3308-10 trucks - a 4-wheel-drive cargo truck, to support their operational requirements. The blessing ceremony for the new transportation assets is part of the 124th Philippine Independence Day celebration and the 51EBde's upcoming 56th founding anniversary on July 15, 2022. The delivery of the new mobility assets is part of Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr.’s, thrust to push down much-needed resources to bolster mission-effectiveness of ground forces nationwide.

“As the Philippine Army’s primary builder in Luzon, your role is vital in fostering peace, progress and development in our country” Lt. Gen. Brawner said. The Army Chief also said that the new assets will bolster the brigade’s humanitarian assistance and disaster response efforts, engineer support operations, and support to the national government’s flagship projects.
