Army conducts 5th PA Strategic Forum

The Philippine Army (PA); through the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Plans, G5, PA; conducted the 5th Philippine Army Strategic Forum via video teleconferencing on June 21, 2022 at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila.
 
The forum with the theme “Bridging PA CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear) Defense Gaps: Fundamental Approaches, Best Practices, and Multi-Sectoral Collaboration” aimed to discuss topics and issues relevant to Army CBRN capabilities with the help of foreign and local Subject Matter Experts.
 
The Senior International and Defense Researcher of RAND Corporation Prof. John V. Parachini, PhD and the Director of Safety and Security of Philippine Economic Zone Authority FDir. Jose S. Embang Jr. (Ret) shared their insights on the International and Domestic Preparedness Response to CBRN Attacks, while the Commanding Officer of the CBRN Company, Army Support Command Maj. Anthony B. Lina and the Senior CBRN Liaison Officer of the Office of the President Cpt. Irvin S. Hibaler discussed the Building Defense Capabilities to Counter CBRN Threats in the Philippines.
 
Col. Diosdado Carlos D. Pambid, the Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff for Plans, expressed his appreciation to the invited speakers for sharing their expertise in the issues and trends relevant to the Army’s CBRN defense capabilities, and to the attendees for their active participation during the lectures.
