Army's chief civilian personnel shares career advancement tips

FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila - The Army Chief Civilian Human Resource (CHR) Ms. Letty Edith G. Lacanienta shared career advancement advice anchored on continuous learning and education during her keynote speech during the graduation rites of the CHR Basic Course Class 49-2022 at the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), Camp O’Donnell, Capas, Tarlac on June 21, 2022.

Ms. Lacanienta, who started her career at the Philippine Army as a contractual worker, encouraged the 32 members of CHR Basic Course Class 49-2022 to grab every learning opportunity in the organization. “Take every opportunity to attend seminars, training or opportunities for further studies,” Ms. Lacanienta remarked.

The Army’s Chief CHR also discussed the competency-based human resource management programs being implemented by the Civilian Personnel Management Branch (CPMB) of the Philippine Army Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Personnel (OG1, PA).  Ms. Lacanienta said the programs which are geared at institutionalizing meritocracy and excellence will further capacitate the Army’s civilian workforce to contribute to the attainment of the Army’s goal to become a world-class organization by 2028.#
