King of Battle marks 15th founding anniversary

The Army Artillery Regiment (AAR) marked its 15th founding anniversary in Fort Magsaysay, Nueva Ecija on June 22, 2022, as the regiment gears for the delivery of additional modern assets that will bolster the Army's territorial defense capabilities.

”The Regiment has constantly excelled at the frontlines in attaining the Philippine Army’s mission of defeating the remaining local armed groups,” Army Inspector General Maj. Gen. Roy M. Galido said in his speech on behalf of Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr. The Army Inspector General commended AAR troops, known for their moniker “Rex Belli” or “Kings of Battle,” for conducting a total of 608 live-fire missions and fire-support operations that bolstered ground forces’ focused military operations and internal security efforts.

Maj. Gen. Galido also credited the regiment’s able leadership for implementing ten DND-DPWH "Tatag ng Imprastraktura para sa Kapayapaan at Seguridad" (TIKAS) infrastructure projects in its headquarters in Fort Magsaysay.

The 15th AAR anniversary is anchored on the theme “Makabagong Artileryo” as the regiment continues to embark on its modernization journey. “With the arrival of new weapons, equipment, and the conduct of training to adopt to new tactics and techniques, our cannoneers have proven that they can seek excellence in everything they do,” Maj. Gen. Galido remarked.
