The Philippine Army’s Office of the Army Chief Nurse (OACN) received life-saving medical equipment for battle-wounded frontline troops that will be serviced by the Army’s first-ever air ambulance in a turnover ceremony in Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila on June 21, 2022.
OACN received hemorrhage-control devices, treatment gear for chest injuries and intraosseous access system, an innovative process of injecting medications, fluids, or blood products directly into bone marrow from SAM Medical Technologies.
It can be recalled that the Philippine Army, in a bid to develop its air medical evacuation capability, launched its first air ambulance helmed by a critical care team during the celebration of the organization’s 125th founding anniversary in March 2022.
“Your abundant donation will help us expand and advance best medical practices in order to better serve our soldiers,” Col. Juan said.
