Army leadership vows all-out support for Army’s elite force

The Philippine Army’s leadership vowed all-out support for the Special Forces Regiment (Airborne) [SFR(A)] to bolster the momentum against state enemies and other peace spoilers during the elite force’s 60th founding anniversary on June 25, 2022 at the SFR(A) headquarters in Fort Magsaysay, Nueva Ecija.

“While you continue to secure the frontiers and fight at the frontlines of our nation’s battles, be assured that the Headquarters Philippine Army will continue to allocate resources, procure, and deliver mission-essential support to maintain your regiment’s momentum over the enemies and sustain your unit’s decisive gains in the months ahead,” acting Army Vice Commander and concurrent Army Inspector General Maj. Gen. Roy M. Galido said in his remarks on behalf of the Commanding General Philippine Army (CGPA) Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr.

“Carry on your vigorous efforts to contribute to the army’s winning course towards lasting peace and progress,” Maj. Gen. Galido challenged the “silent professionals.”

SFR(A)’s Diamond Anniversary celebration is anchored on theme ‘’Special Forces: 60 Exuding Years of Brilliance and Serving the Filipino People.” Special Forces operators are trained in unconventional warfare, counter-insurgency and counter-terrorism operations. Among the strengths of the regiment is its effective community relations, which result in numerous state enemies returning to the folds of law.
