The Philippine Army, through the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Training and Education (OG8, PA), participated in the US Army Pacific Joint Pacific Multinational Readiness Center (JPMRC) Middle Planning Conference at the Schofield Barracks in Oʻahu, Hawaii from June 21 to 24, 2022.
PA and USARPAC conference participants discussed the updated timeline and scenario concept for the upcoming large-scale training activity. Participants also tackled the augmentation of the 91st Brigade Reconnaissance Company, 1st Brigade Combat Team by the 2nd Squadron, 14th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division, 25th Infantry Division of USARPAC during rotation.
JPMRC is USARPAC’s Regional Combat Training Center for units and leaders in the complex operating environment of the Pacific Theater. “JPMRC is a new approach that allows leaders to train soldiers to live, operate, and fight in the Indo-Pacific region’s austere, rugged, and diverse environments as part of joint teams and multinational coalitions,” USARPAC Commanding General Gen. Charles A. Flynn said in an earlier statement. The training is at strengthening unit readiness, enhance interoperability, and validate warfighting systems in view of the challenging jungle environments of the Indo-Pacific area of operations.
PA is set to join the Joint Pacific Multinational Readiness Center (JPMRC) 23-01 training event scheduled from October 15 to November 16, 2022 in Hawaii.
