Army receives emergency response bikes donation

The Philippine Army received emergency response bikes in a turnover ceremony led by Army Commanding General Lt. Gen. Romeo S. Brawner, Jr., and Makati Medical Center Foundation Executive Director Marge M. Barro on July 7, 2022 at the Headquarters Philippine Army, Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila.

Lt. Gen. Brawner received an initial unit of the Hospital-in-a-Bike, a flagship project of the Makati Medical Center Foundation’s Public-Private Partnership for Pandemic Response and Emergency Preparedness Program.

A total of 20 emergency response bikes will soon be distributed to various Philippine Army Medical Treatment Facilities. The emergency response bikes are equipped with medical gear that stabilizes a patient until professional medical help arrives.

The Army Chief gives his gratitude to the Makati Medical Center Foundation for the donation which will help the Army in ensuring the health of soldiers, the Army’s most important resource.
