The Philippine Army Dragon Warriors topped the mixed category of the first-ever Dapa Siargao National Dragon Boat Regatta hosted by the municipal government of Dapa, Siargao on July 9, 2022.
The Philippine Army Dragon Warriors bested 20 other teams that participated in the competition. The team is set to compete in the women’s semi-finals and men’s eliminations and finals on July 10, 2022.
The Philippine Army Dragon Warriors is the runaway winner in the mixed category. The Black Mamba Warriors and the Cagayan de Oro Dragons placed second and third respectively in the said category.
The Philippine Army Dragon Warriors has been a powerhouse team since its debut in local dragon boat races back in 2010. The team brought home gold medals during the International Dragon Boat Federation-sanctioned World Dragon Boat Championships in Italy (2014) and Australia (2016).
